Because this blog is part of the Youth Ministry of the Catholic Churches in Ville Platte, it IN NO WAY endorses any particular candidate.  The purpose of this post is to remind Catholics that when they vote they need to do so with the mind of the Church.  This means that  – while many issues are important – some issues are of paramount importance.

Catholics are obliged to form their consciences in accord with human reason and the teaching of the Church.  Once consciences have been properly formed, then Catholics need to obey their consciences in the voting booth.

As our bishops tell us: Some actions are always evil – “intrinsically evil”.  These objectively evil acts must always be rejected; they must never be condoned or supported.  Abortion is at the forefront of these intrinsically evil acts.

The video that I’ve linked to is a warm-up.  Over the next couple of weeks, I will continue to post information on helping Catholics to properly form their consciences.
