VPCYG Announces

Chicot Canoeing Trip

You asked for it; you got it.

The Ville Platte Catholic Youth Group will be making another guided canoe trip of Chicot Lake.  The trip will be on Saturday, Oct. 18.  There are 12 spots available, and they are available on a first come, first served basis.

VPCYG members enjoy a day on the waters of Chicot Lake.

The cost of the trip is $5.  The fee includes the cost for entry into Chicot State Park and a hot dog/hamburger cook-out.

We will leave from the Queen of All Saints Family Life Center at about 12 pm; the tour will start at around 3 pm; and we will return to the Family Life Center at about 5 pm.

You do not have to go out on the lake to participate.  If you simply want to come to enjoy the cook-out, you are welcome.  (The cost is still $5.)

Permission forms AND PAYMENT must be in before Tuesday, Oct. 14, in order to guarantee your place in a canoe.  You can download the canoeing-permission-form this website; or you can get one from me at Catechism or Ville Platte High; or you can get one from Mrs. Anne (my lovely wife) at Sacred Heart.

If you’re planning on attending, please leave a comment in the ComBox.
