Jan. 10 Movie Poll

Movie Night Poll

for Jan. 10

VPCYG is having its monthly Movie Night on Saturday, Jan. 10, from 7:00 – 10:oo pm at the Family Life Center.  We’ll have food, drinks, and snacks.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Bring your sleeping bags, blankets, and pillows.

(Please let me know if you’re coming, so I can get the right amount of food.  Just leave a note in the Combox; or tell me in person; or tell Mrs. Anne at Sacred Heart.)

Once again, you get to vote for the movie you want to watch.  If the movie you want to watch isn’t listed, feel free to make a recommendation in the combox.

The choices are:

Eagle Eye – Shia Lebeouf has his life taken over in this action/thriller by an anonymous caller  who forces him to carry out a plan by a possible terrorist organization.  Read the review at Christianity Today.

TCoN: Prince CaspianThe second installment of The Chronicles of Narnia Series.  This film is much better paced, and has much better action, than the first part (The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe).  Read the review at DecentFilms.com.  Check out the Special Section at Christianity Today.

Wall-E – Delightful CGI from the always-great Pixar.  This smash hit features the journey of a lonely trash-collecting robot as he travels across the galaxy in search of … love.  Despite being an animiated film, this movie is one of the favorites for an Academy Award for Best Picture.  Read the review at DecentFilms.com.

Ghost Town – A paranormal comedy starring Ricky Gervais (a very, very funny British comedian).  It is about a dentist who suddenly can see and talk to the dead after a near-death experience. Read the review at Christianity Today.  (By the way, if you ever get a chance to watch the ORIGINAL episodes of The Office, you’ve got to see them.  Hilarious stuff.)
